Jim lives on a small farm in Brown County, Indiana with Christy, his wife of over thirty-four years. They have one daughter Megan, four dogs, six horses, and one cat.
He is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and over his lifetime has worked with the public in various capacities, of which the last twenty-seven years has been specifically in the financial services industry.
Having worked with all different types of people from various back grounds who have faced job loss, career change, marriage, birth of children, divorce, and death of loved ones, has required Jim to broaden his skills so he could be more effective in supporting his clients through the challenges of life.
Early in his career, Jim became a certified facilitator of the Stephen Covey 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and is also a graduate of Coach U, the leading global provider of life coach training programs, and is a member of the International Coach Federation. Jim is also a certified John Maxwell coach, trainer, and speaker.
Jim also holds the designation of the CRPS®, Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist, AAMS®, Accredited Asset Management Specialist, and AWMA ®, Accredited Wealth Management Advisor, with the College for Financial Planning.

Cheryl grew up on a 125-acre farm in Marion, Iowa along with her three siblings. Even though both of her parents were graduates from the University of Iowa and life-long teachers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Cheryl embarked on a different career journey. After high school graduation, Cheryl pursued a college degree from Iowa State University where she graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering.
Upon graduation, Cheryl and her husband moved to Columbus, Indiana where she accepted a position in Indianapolis with Merchants National Bank. Two years later, she was presented with an opportunity to work at Arvin Industries. While she continued to work full-time at Arvin Industries, Cheryl went on to obtain her MBA from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.

While busy in her professional life, Cheryl was also busy in her personal life raising her three daughters. Starting in the 1990s, Cheryl and her husband began working with Jim Kemp in the areas of life and money.
